Jeromie “Kake King” Jones is an innovative creator, an inspiring speaker and writer, a strategic advisor, and a change agent. From leading the industry as a cake artist and national competitor to dominating the business development space as a business and branding coach, Jeromie puts his all everything he does. He has an extensive background in fundamental baking and decorating principles that serve as the cornerstone to his elaborate cake designs and inspire his technique. He extends his knowledge by offering coaching and courses that teach industry leading best practices in baking and business to entrepreneurs of all experience levels.

Growing up with his grandparents in Winona, Mississippi, Jeromie has never been a stranger to the kitchen. Developing a love for cooking and baking early on led him to transform the joy he felt in the kitchen from a hobby to an expansive career in the baking and business industry. During his studies at the Mississippi University for Women, he proudly became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and served as Chapter President. At the same time, Jeromie also began selling his specialty desserts from his apartment with the goal of one day being able to open his own bakery. By the age of 26, Jeromie made his dream a reality, he opened his own bakery business, debt free. He was the youngest and first openly gay, black bakery owner in the state of Mississippi, which gained him national attention and was celebrated on CNN.

Jeromie not only excelled as an entrepreneur, but he also spent many years working in higher education at HBCUs as a Food Service Manager before being promoted to Operations Manager. This experience allowed him to cultivate additional skills in residential dining services, banquet dining, catering services, and coordinating special events. The direct result of his combined experiences in life and work, Jeromie was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by two organizations in Jackson, Mississippi; received The Gentleman’s Award, the Online Instructor of the Year Award, and earned the VIP Award for Vision, Inspiration, and Purpose. He has won many additional awards and competed on Food Networks’ Cake Wars and The Food Network Challenge. He has launched five of his own branded products, three that are FDA approved, and all were previously carried in cake supply stores nationwide. In 2022, he wrote his first book, which quickly became an Amazon Best Seller.

Over the past 15+ years, Jeromie has continued to be a light for others providing more than just business strategy and coaching advice, but inspiring hope in others. Although Jeromie relocated to Orlando, Florida, he is never far from his deep Mississippi roots and continuously pays homage to his upbringing and hometown, Winona. In May 2023, he married the love of his life, Tyrell Jones, and the two live together happily with their bubbly dog, Ace. Jeromie continues to offer online classes and business support through his many platforms and has dedicated his life and career to helping others advance their dreams as well.
